New Zealand-born Jamie began practising at the Yoga Arts Academy in 2002, and has been teaching Yoga Asana in Melbourne for the past two years. He has a degree in fine arts (sculpture) from the University of Auckland, and combines both creativity and calmness during his Yoga sessions. “I’m interested in movement, form, rhythm and vibration all of which I believe find harmony in Yoga, music and sculpture,” says Jamie.
Fred was born in the Bordeaux region of France. Her natural athletic talent led to competitive gymnastics at a national level in France.She moved to Paris to train as an actor at the *Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique *and *l’Atelier Charles Dullin.*In 1992 she was cast in a television series set in Australia, and now,
almost twenty years later, she is thrilled to have made this country her home. She has two children aged 16 and 3.The gymnastic talent led to the practice of yoga, particularly the vinyasa style. Fred trained with Baron Baptiste and teaches his power flow style.
As an Iyengar Yoga practitioner for over 10 years, Zoe was trained at the Clifton Hill Yoga Studio in 2001-2003. Since 2004, she has been practising Shadow Yoga with Shandor Remete, Emma Balnaves and Peter Ujvari. This practice emphasises the breath and bandhas to release, maximise and harness the body’s energy. Zoe also has an acting background, studying at Victoria’s National Theatre Drama School and appearing on TV and on stage.

Felicity SteelTeaches Yoga
Felicity Steel teaches Ashtanga Yoga. She is also a member of The Society of Australian Fight Directors Inc. (SAFDi) and the International Order of the Sword and Pen and is a qualified stage combat instructor. She is also an actor on stage and television.
Carolyn Diaz has worked with the Pilates method since 1993. Injuries sustained as a professional dancer led her to begin as a clinical Pilates instructor, working in physiotherapy clinics. Carolyn’s interest in Eastern-based body therapies has led her to study Butoh muscle and bone with Min Tanaka in Japan. She is also a qualified Shiatsu practitioner, a traditional Thai massage therapist and is currently studying Shaolin martial arts. Outside the studio, Carolyn works with Somebody’s Daughter Theatre Company, leading body-based workshops in women’s prisons and with marginalised youth in rural Victoria. Sophie teaches detailed and challenging Pilates matwork classes through beginners to advanced level. She has a keen interest in helping clients to deepen their body awareness and develop healthier movement patterns. She blends Classic Pilates repetoire with evolved or modified exercises tailored to suit a group or individual.
Sophie is also a qualified Shiatsu therapist and plays bass guitar in a band.

Karyn began practising yoga in 1994, mainly as a tool to help her deal with stressful situations while working as a registered nurse. She began a daily Ashtanga practice in 1997, captivated by the use of the breath and the openness to change that the practice demanded. At the end of ’97, Karyn made her first trip to Mysore, India, to further her journey, studying with Guruji (Sri K Pattabhi Jois) and R Sharath (his grandson), the masters of Ashtanga yoga. Karyn returns annually to her teachers in India, where she is currently an advanced practitioner. In 2001, Guruji authorised her to teach. Karyn has been teaching yoga full-time since 2002. She tries to inspire others to practise with dedication and patience as her teachers have inspired her.

Jenni grew up in Helsinki, Finland. Naturally sporty she was a rhythmic
gymnast then took up diving and athletics including high jump and long jump. She has a Masters Degree in Finance from the Helsinki School of Economics. Jenni began practicing yoga in 2000. Yoga had a transformative effect that led her to train as a teacher. While travelling in Spain she met an Australian to whom she is now engaged. Jenni is certified by the Pranava Yogadhama Trust in Mysore, India to teach classical Ashtanga Yoga and has an advance diploma of yoga teaching from the Australian Yoga Academy

With more than 10 years' experience as a yoga teacher, Hugit has studied Ashtanga, Iyengar, Synergy and Shivananda yoga. After running a school in Israel, she moved to Melbourne in 2001 to study in Sakshin Gatashta with Swami Jivan Prahlad, as well as an anatomy-of-yoga course in Sydney. Her other passions include being an artist and taking care of her young son.

A native of Brazil, Joao grew up in Rio de Janiero where he began acting and dancing at the age of 8. He opened his own Pilates studio in Rio in 2004 while continuing to act and perform in films and on stage. He arrived in Melbourne in 2007 and re-qualified in the Polestar system for which he is a mentor. Addditionaly he is trained in the Godelive Denys-Struyf method of physical therapy, developed by a Belgian kinesiotherapist, for the treatment of nonspecific lower back pain.

Camilla is certified Anusara Inspired™ and Hatha Vinyasa Yoga teacher, dancer and sound designer. Her classes combine the bio-mechanic alignment principles and heart oriented Tantric philosophy of Anusara Yoga™ with flowing Hatha Vinyasa sequences, dance inspired movement and sound. Students receive concise alignment information within a supportive and playful environment.

Stephanie Glickman Teaches Pilates
US born Stephanie is Pilates certified through APMA, Pilates International, Polestar and Stott. She began teaching in 2003 and has extensive experience teaching in studios and gyms throughout Melbourne. She specialises in mat and reformer Pilates as well as Fitball and aerobics. Stephanie also has her own Pilates studio in Brunswick.
In between being a hard-working mother to Felix, she is also the dance writer/reviewer for the Herald Sun and contributes to various arts forums including Australian Stage Online.
Growing up in Kaniva in the Wimmera Mallee, Unna was inspired by her PT instructor to study human physiology. In 2000 she completed her undergraduate degree in exercise science at ACU then a post graduate masters at VU in exercise rehabilitation. Impressed by the Pilates system which uses the science of biomechanics in its teachings, she trained in the APMA system of Pilates in 2009. Unna runs her own studio at Melbourne University where she practices as an exercise physiologist and Pilates instructor, leads a mean bootcamp session most mornings and has a great passion for pen and ink drawing.

Georgia began practising Yoga in 1991, spending a decade studying with Iyengar Yoga teachers, Lulu Bull and Alan Goode. She completed her teacher training in the Iyengar system in 2004, and is currently holding her Introductory Level 1 certificate, issued by the BKS Iyengar Association of Australia. Now in preparation for her Introductory Level 2 Assessment, Georgia views yoga to be a lifelong study.
As a rhythmic gymnast Erinn discovered Pilates for conditioning and injury prevention. While studying for her chiropractic degreee, she also did her teacher training in Pilates. Ditching chiropracting studies for a science degree with a submajor in functional and applied anatomy and physiology and a major in applied maths, Erinn continued to teach Pilates. “I continue to marvel at the human body's ability to react, adapt and regenerate”. I have also returned to fulltime study to complete a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Studies.
Antonia has been practicing the Zen form of meditation for more than 13 years. She is a also a qualified yoga teacher and runs retreats combining yoga and meditation practice, She is doing further study in the Vijnana style of yoga in Europe with her teacher Orit Sen-Gupta and is nearing the end of her PhD. in Creative Writing and Philosophy.

Orignally trained as a silver and goldsmith, Jasmin teaches Sakshin Ghatastha Yoga, a flowing style of Yoga with strong emphasis on the breath and correct structural alignment of the body.

Inspired by the teachings of Pralad of Yoga Arts Academy, Katie teaches a flowing style of yoga that is also informed by her practice of tai chi and chi kung. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Melbourne University and an Advanced Diploma in Yoga. She enjoys the lifestyle of full-time yoga teaching and the time it allows her to be with her family.

Njala SankhulaniTeaches Ashtanga Yoga Led Classes
Njala has been teaching Ashtanga for more than 8 years. He was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga in London in 1998. His own practice and teaching has been influenced by the early pioneers of the Ashtanga Yoga whos emphasis is on cultivating a daily practice based on lightness, ease and joy.
Queenslander, Justine began dancing at a very young age. She has an associate's degree in dance from QUT and has completed her Solo Seal exam - the Royal Academy of Dance’s highest achievement. She began her teacher training with PIA, moving to the Sott system. While she has seven years Pilates teaching experience, she still remains active in dance, and is a member of the Commonweathlth Society for Teachers of Dance. Justine is also an entrepreneur, running her own bar and dance venue in Brisbane before moving to Melbourne in 2010.
